1. Who we are

SUPPORT LIVING LTD, registered in England and Wales under company number 17398782, with its registered office at 7 Sutherland Avenue, London, England, W9 2HE, is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice.

This notice explains how we handle personal data submitted through supportliving.co.uk. It does not cover the personal data we process about people we support, which is explained in a separate notice provided at the point of placement.

2. What we collect

We collect only what you type into the enquiry form. That is your name, your email address, and where you provide them your telephone number, your organisation, the date a placement is needed, the level of support required, the area required, and any further information you choose to write in the free-text fields.

We ask that identifying information about a person being referred is not submitted through the website, and that referral packs and risk assessments are sent by secure email instead. Where such information is submitted regardless, it is handled under section 5.

3. Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • To respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to assess a referral. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: you have contacted us and expect a reply.
  • To consider an application for employment. Our lawful basis is that processing is necessary in order to take steps at your request prior to entering a contract.
  • To keep a record of enquiries received, so that we can evidence our response times to commissioners. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests.

4. Who sees it

Enquiries are read by the placements team and, for applications, by the person responsible for recruitment. We do not sell personal data, we do not share it for marketing, and we do not transfer it outside the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area.

Three processors act on our instructions: our hosting provider, which serves the website; our database provider, which stores submitted enquiries; and our email provider, which delivers the notification to us. Each is bound by a written processing agreement.

5. Special category data

Information about a person's health, disability, mental health or care needs is special category data and attracts additional protection. Where it reaches us through the enquiry form, we rely on the substantial public interest condition at paragraph 18 of Schedule 1 to the Data Protection Act 2018, safeguarding of children and of individuals at risk, and we handle it under our Appropriate Policy Document.

6. How long we keep it

Website enquiries are deleted automatically 180 days after they are received. Where an enquiry results in a placement, the relevant information is transferred into the placement record and retained under the retention schedule applying to that record, which is set out in the notice provided at the point of placement.

Applications from candidates who are not appointed are deleted six months after the recruitment decision.

7. Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to ask for erasure, to ask us to restrict how we use it, and to object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests. To exercise any of these rights, write to us at the address below and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would ask you to raise it with us first so that we have the opportunity to put it right.

8. Cookies

This website sets no advertising or analytics cookies and does not track visitors between sites. Fonts are served from the site's own domain rather than from a third party.

9. Contact
